These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and services offered by Shantilal Jamnadas Jewellers ("we", "us", "our"), registered in Gujarat, India, with GSTIN 24ACJFS3679L1ZH and principal place of business at SHOP NO. B, DOSHI PLAZA, UNIVERSITY ROAD, RAJKOT, Rajkot, Gujarat, 360005. By visiting our website or purchasing from our showroom, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us

Shantilal Jamnadas Jewellers — affectionately known as Chikhaliyawala — is a family-run business in the retailing of gold, diamond, silver and bridal jewellery since 1920. All transactions are carried out from our Rajkot showroom unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Products, Pricing & Rates

  • Gold and silver rates are linked to prevailing bullion market prices and fluctuate daily. The price applicable to any order is the rate confirmed at the time of billing.
  • Final price of an ornament includes metal value, making charges, wastage (where applicable), stone value (for diamond/gemstone jewellery) and applicable GST.
  • All ornaments are sold on a weight and purity basis; billing is done on certified net weight.
  • Product images on the website are for reference only — actual weight, finish and colour may vary due to handcrafting.

3. Hallmarking & Certification

All gold jewellery sold by us is BIS Hallmarked in accordance with Bureau of Indian Standards norms. Diamond jewellery is accompanied by a certificate from a recognised laboratory (IGI, GIA or equivalent) where applicable. Silver items are marked 925 sterling silver unless otherwise specified.

4. Orders & Payment

  • Orders placed in-store are confirmed against a written estimate or invoice.
  • For custom or made-to-order pieces, an advance payment (typically 25–50% of the estimated value) is required to commence work. The balance is payable at the time of delivery.
  • Accepted modes of payment include cash (subject to statutory limits), UPI, debit/credit card, cheque (subject to realisation) and bank transfer.
  • Goods remain the property of Shantilal Jamnadas Jewellers until payment is received in full.

5. Custom & Made-to-Order Work

Custom pieces are crafted to your specifications — design, weight, stone selection and finish. Once work has commenced, custom orders cannot be cancelled, and the advance paid is non-refundable. Delivery timelines are indicative and may vary depending on design complexity and material availability.

6. Exchange & Returns

Jewellery, by its nature, is a personal and intimate purchase. Our exchange and return policy is as follows:

  • Exchange: Gold and diamond ornaments purchased from us may be exchanged against new purchases, subject to our prevailing exchange policy, deduction of making charges and wastage as per the original invoice.
  • Buy-back: We buy back gold ornaments purchased from us at the prevailing gold rate, with deductions as per company policy. Valid proof of purchase is required.
  • Returns: Custom-made, engraved, altered and bridal-set items are non-returnable.
  • All exchanges and returns must be accompanied by the original invoice and original packaging.

For specific queries on exchange value or buy-back terms, please contact our showroom directly — every ornament is evaluated on its individual merits.

7. Repairs, Resizing & Warranty

  • Minor adjustments (ring resizing, clasp fitting) on items purchased from us are offered complimentary within a reasonable period.
  • We warrant that the metal purity and stone quality described on the invoice are accurate. Any claim of defect must be raised within 7 days of purchase with supporting evidence.
  • Damage due to wear and tear, accidents, chemical exposure or unauthorised repairs is not covered.

8. Website & Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, design and code — is the property of Shantilal Jamnadas Jewellers or its licensors and is protected under Indian copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, redistribute or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

Our website may embed or link to third-party services (for example, Google Maps for directions and WhatsApp for messaging). We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of these third parties.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability in respect of any ornament sold is limited to the invoice value of that ornament. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or sentimental loss howsoever arising. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under Indian law.

11. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, government restrictions, bullion market disruptions, strikes, logistics failures or natural calamities.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Rajkot, Gujarat.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page, along with the date of last revision. Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
